Engine diagnostics light?

Hi all,

I have a w211 270d e-class, was driving today and while driving, the yellow engine diagnostics light came on in the instrument cluster. I stopped car and switched off, switched on, it was still on, then after a few minutes it is now gone.

Light is gone now, should I get this checked out?

Well, something was wrong, it may go wrong again, if you didnt notice any depermental effects, you could wait and see if it returns, then take it to be code read, diagnosed.

if it went into limp home mode when it came on then i would get it checked soon as, or it might let you down!!

At the very least take it in to see what code(s) are stored in memory.
