Hello again, take off the air cleaner and check to see if there is any oil in the MAF that would be the first thing to check

You are in keeping with having a girl friend in Sweden, lots of us have them too ;)

Okay removed airfilter but unable to clearly see if any oil or crap is on the MAF sensor, I know the CPS should be good was change this summer. Can I get the bit set from B&Q and co to get the sensor out to have a good look at it.

Just run your finger around the inside, that should tell you all that you need to know

Is that on the inside of the air intake or do I have to remove the plastic grid covering over the MAF. If so how do I remove the plastic grid covering.

I forgot that some have that,, then look at the cables where they plug into the MAF as this is how any oil gets in, pull the plug out and see if it is oily, that will give you the answer

Plug looked clean ...

I am going on a 75 miles trip today, so if it doesn't mis-behave, do you think its safe to assume that it is nothing major.
How do I get the engine fault light to reset without a code reader ...

Only on STAR can it be turned off, your fault could just be a little movement in the stored settings on the O2 sensor.

If you get problems which I doubt, turn off and on again
