engine fumes inside car

Hi I have a 2003 C220 CDI that has just developed engine smells inside the car . 1st they wer diesel fumes that the repair garage said were due to a cracked breather tube. since this has been replaced I have now beed getting what appears to be exhaust fumes comming inside the car. This only happens when I switch on the heater or aircon. Any ideas on what is happening as the situation is not good?:???:

I'm not sure if it will help you but I have had fumes in the car from what seems to be a failed injector seal on my E220Cdi. does your car sound louder than normal?

HI Joem thanks for the info. The mechanic has told me that injector1 is leaking but I have not noticed any difference in noise ( I am a little deafer these days....) hope it fixes it

If no1 is leaking why did he not fix it it is not a big job
