Hi everyone, I’ve been a member for a couple of years but this is the first time I’ve posted. I’ve got an 11 plate c220 cdi estate and after it rained last week I noticed a leak coming from the passenger side front wheel, I haven’t a clue what it is, all the levels seem ok (brake fluid oil etc) and I’ve had a good look under the bonnet, I even took it to a local independent garage and they couldn’t find anything! Please see pictures and I would appreciate any feedback, thanks

Hello and welcome

That is oil, the water has washed it off and being oil it floats on top of the water. It could just be from a drip on the drive.

I’d take the cover off the top of the engine and look for any oil leaks

Possibly it is from oil caught by the belly pans. The heavy rain then washed it out.

Thanks for all your replies, yes it’s definitely from my car, it’s due an oil change/ service in a couple of months I’ll probably bring it forward and get the garage to check for oil leak underneath, I’ll check the top end, at least I know it’s oil coming from somewhere, much appreciate your comments
