I wondered if anyone could help me. I have a 2000 A170 CDI, which I have just recently serviced myself.

I reset the service indicator (by putting the ignition key to position 2, pressing the 0.000 button twice, switching the key to position 0, pressing down the 0.000 button while switching the key to position 2 again then waiting for the beep).

This reset the service indicator OK, but now there is no beep after the glow plug light has gone out to tell me it's OK to start the engine, and most of the dashboard lights such as ABS, temp, traction, EPC remain on once I start the engine.

Is it possible to reset this myself, or do I need to go to a Mercedes garage?
