Engine Management Light - worth getting a icarsoft?

Hi all
Just picked up my 67 plate C220d convertible on Saturday. Was driving today, and noticed that the engine management light has come on. I was thinking about getting an icarsoft and trying to get some sort of idea as to why it is coming on? I have never used one of these devices before, what do people reckon?

But the car should still be under warranty, so will ring up and see if they can fix it.

Icarsoft is a essential item with the 2.1 engine Mike if your handy with the spanners, but wait until the car is out of the dealers warranty period is my advice.

Get it back to where you purchased it from.

If you are handy with car repairs and car maintenance and will do them when there is a problem then by all means. Otherwise you will be wasting your money.

If its under warranty take it back. Dont clear codes etc as its all recorded data , mb will know youve wiped them and could get pi$$ey with you.
