Hello all,
I got a call from the wife today saying that when she started the car this morning, it "shuddered" and the engine management light stayed on. Afraid to drive it, it remained idle all day until I got in from work. It started fine and idled OK, but the light remained on. I took it for a 5 mile run to heat it up properly, during which time it drove as normal. The light is still on even fter a restart.
My question is, assuming that the fault is no longer there (wishful thinking). Does the dealer (or suitably equipped garage) need to reset the light? Again assuming no codes are present, or is there a work around.
The car is a 02 plate W210 200 Kompressor manual estate.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Whammer
