Is there any way to check eng/mtgs ie measurements to see if they need replacing, or is it just an eyeball job , I just get the feeling that mine may be ready for changing 140k 6 cyl Diesel ?? at low revs stationary in gear very slight viration through the steering wheel.

Hi

Usually you can feel the viabration through the vehicle. Especially when cold. Usually when you look at the mounting the casting part of the mounting is nearly touching the cross member. You can't get your finger in between. If its as described then replace them. At 140k I would suggest they would require attention.
