Engine murmur in 1983 280 TE Estate

I've recently brought a 1983 280 TE estate. After some work it drives fine but when It's idling at a stand still it has a little engine murmur that shakes the car every few seconds. Should I be worried about this? Has anyone else had this?
It's had new spark plug cables and distributer cap and all the plugs are fine..

Cheers.

With the early injection systems this was termed "Hunting" sometimes improvements can be made with the alen key in mixture adjust, not wise to do it without a Co2 meter. wait till MOT and ask your friendly garage to adjust.

Thanks

Thank you, That puts my mind at ease. I've got almost a year until the MOT will it be safe to run like that?

I'll give that a try soon.
