Engine noise of 2001 C200 Kompressor

The engine of my year 2001 automatic C200 Kompressor sounds as noisy as a diesel engine on being started. The sound, however, abates after a while. I would like to know if this is normal. If not, what could be the cause of this funny sound, and how could it be remedied? Thanks.

if it's when the car is at idle only it might be the bearing or damper bush on the belt tensioner http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...GM=717.460&CT=M&cat=19K&SID=20&SGR=045&SGN=03
