engine oil advice

hi there im new to the club ineed to know whats the best oil for my car its a c200 sport 95 im doing an oil change and filter change the weekend thanks

I use and supply castrol magnatec and prefer it over Mobil 1

Hi,
I have run my C230K for over 100,000 miles on good quality semi synthetic.
The AMG gets Mobil 1, as recommended by MB

Something that meet's the Merc Oil Spec 229.1 or higher I would expect. I found that both the the CLK and Corrado burnt Magnetec. i now use Shell Hellix Ultra. Ihad ahonda engine that ran happily for 100k on magnetec though.
might be due to pisto ring design and amount oil left behind on the cyl' bore's?

Ive found with the SLK and A class they both seem smoother on magnatec, the A class wasnt happy before I used magnatec, cold start rattles and poor performance etc.

thanks for the reply mobil 1 it is anybody know how to fix electric aerial the motor works ik can hear it when i turn the car on it doesnt move at a\ll thanks very much any bad things i should look out for on my w202 95

My old c180 is still running well on semi synthetic bought from Europarts, not burning oil, gets thro about less than a litre between changes (every 10,000) currently has done about 208,000 miles. (still on original clutch).
