Engine rattle

Have new 350 c class. When starting car with engine warm an odd rattle can be heard briefly as revs fall. MB UK say MB Germany are aware of noise with this engine but do not know what it is or how to cure it. Anybody got any ideas or got similar problem?

The rattle is not common on that engine (well not yet) Its sounds like one of the hydraulic tappets maybe losing pressure over night and needs to refill every morning!

Agree with Sam, but I would also check your oil level, I have seen a friends brand new mercedes getting delivered with virtually no oil in the car, needless to say he was not happy after spending 60k

To date they have changed numerous parts, oil pump, bolts inside the oil sump, fuel injectors. Oddly the noise is not there in a morning but when left after a drive for about an hour it's there when the car is started. Getting info from MB UK is proving very difficult!
