engine stop on a 609d

I have a 1996 609d that doesn't stop when the ignition key is turned off, there is no exhaust brake on the vehichle. Can anyone tell me whats gone wrong before it goes for PSV?

It will be a vacuum fault I think, maybe just a pipe off

The fuel cut off is at the end of the rack on the fuel pump, these seize and prevent it being pulled back by the solenoid. Wd40 works well on it and work it by hand untill free.

Many thanks guys, the vacum pipe was off at the pump. It still failed psv for the hand brake, but i'll get to that this week.
