I believe the suggestion was has the car been connected up to diagnostics to see fault codes.
Engine warning light will almost certainly have triggered a logged code, event and as dash does not provide that info all else is guesswork at the moment. Is Yr rpm limited or the car drives normally.
How concerned you need to be will be clear when diagnostics info is revealed., not always. But often a relatively minor issue.

I don't think anything …. you never told us anything other than the engine management light was on. It could have been on for any number of reasons.
I just thought that a very vague question deserved an equally vague answer.

As Emily’s dad has eluded to, get the codes read, then you will know if you have a problem.

And why that don't surprise me..!! I am guessing the system has a key on heater at adblue tank outlet.?. It really is a crxp system and makers should be held to a class action resolution
Anyway read codes go from there.

An EML indicated a DTC logged. Of which there are many each with its own solution.
In order to determine your level of concern you wont know until the codes read, fault diagnosed and thus whats needed to rectify.
So take the car to angarage and let them investigate..

Is the only solution to clear this error code via the diagnostic device? Ad blue meter frozen at 6300KM, Tank nearly full but not moving..... Discuss please

You might be able to clear the error code with a code reader, worth a try. But if something has failed the item will need replacing.
My advice is go to an independent Merc garage with Star & let them sort it out.

Star is the proprietary Merc-Benz code reader system. That’s why you need a Merc or Merc independent specialist

To avoid garage, at least In 1st instance icarsoft clear code if it stays off give car a good hard 30 mile run
U may clear adblue. Pump, injector? It that's it add anti cystalization addative n hope that's it.

Then like me keep icarsoft in car, and consider merits of keeping car with adblue.
