hi my c220 cdi has stared cuting out when it reaches 2500 reves and the epc light comes on then you start it up and off you go any ideas help please

This could be MAF or O2 sensor though the MAF does not turn on the lamp the MAF can upset the O2 sensor, and that turns the light on

i took the cover off the engine and thought that something had melted
it turns out to be carbon. I'm having fun getting it off so it must be injector seals and possible new injectors how much

Just to put your mind at rest it will not need new injectors this is a common problem and needs some new O rings etc

thank you malcom, off to get seals is there anything on the market that dissolves the carbon or just keep chipping away
