Hi,
driving back from Southend to London today and without any warning my dash displayed 'EPC malfunction, visit your dealer' Then the car cut out and died and wont restart. It fires then stops, it seems like fuel starvation, but not sure.
Was running ok since I brought it, bit smokey on hard acceleration, but its a diesel. Before it cut out I had a strong smell of diesel, this has got worse and worse, help from anyone would be much appreciated!
Also, rear cluster brake light wont work despite new bulb, also I cant get the fuel economy read out back on the display, it did work but a day before it produced EPC fault it stopped displaying fuel economy readings, help, I am desperate! Car less and generally fed up!

If you could smell the diesel, then the CPS is out of the question, and this could be a leak on the injector rail somewhere. The fuel economy also points to the injector rail
