Erratic electric cooling fan

Hello there, I have a 1995 C280 and the cooling fan cuts in when the car is started, goes off at about 80 deg and cuts in normally after that for the aircon and overheating ect. It only does this in summer when the air temperature is up a bit or when the car has been sitting in the sun or whatever.
Does anyone have any ideas please? Thanks a lot

Thermostat Fan control relay on the way out ..... possibly?????
