My ESP BAS & ABS Warning Lights have come on and will not turn off. I have notice that my brake lights will not turn off as well. I have a 2002 CLK 430. Any suggestions?

Hi & Welcome,

Replace the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal. Scares the living daylights out of you the first time you see it. Cheap enough part, pls have a search on ther forum as this has come up many many many times.

At under £10 it will be one of the cheapest fixes that you will get, the switch when faulty knocks out the speed signals from the Can Bus.

My speed signals work but my brake lights stay on constantly.

By speed info I do not mean the speedometer, this is a data system running in the car. The brake light being on is unusual, and I think it has failed in some other way than normal, but it is so easy to replace it must be done.
