ESP Faulty C Series Coupe

Ths morning the
" ESP Faulty go to Service Sation Warning "

came up on the dash and is now coming on each time I start the car.

2006 C Series Coupe 220D, 30,000 Mainly Motorway cruising

Could this be some thing simple tha I could change/replace myself, or could it be something more major?

If a major issue, any reconmendations for a indie in the Somerset Avon area?

You need a short test to see what is going wrong, could be so many things, not worth guessing!!

what was the cut off year for brake pedal switches? thankfully they no longer have the darned things.

The 204 I think.

There is one fault listed where you just have to clean up the lateral sensor.
Dirty poor contacts is another on the ESP module

OK so it needs a test to see whats wrong!

Any reconmendations for an Indie in Avon Somerset area?

Or

I have my Services carried out in Weston Super Mare by the Dealer who have been Ok with me once I have haggled on the Service price, but I'm a bit wary to just drive in and say tell me what's wrong and how much to fix. Could I just ask them to just check it on their system to tell me what the problem is, I assume they will charge for this
