ETS. and abs lights come on

Hi all this is the first time I have posted, I hope you can help
I have a S class 280 Automatic 1996
I have been getting the two lights coming on in the dash together. ETS and ABS and when this happens the steering gets harder, it can happen when I start the car, or if the dont com on then, they can come on when I am driving, and I feel the steering going stiffer,

any help please

Hello Ed and welcome.

There is no OVP relay on a 140 car, and as the ABS is working and the lamp comes on after a short drive I do not think that it is battery problems.

A faulty / dirty wheel speed sensor could be a good reason for this

We do that all the time
