euro 4

Hi len, its any diesel engine which conforms to a european standard,IE started with euro 1 in 1998 I believe, euro 2 upto 2002 etc euro 4 started in the middle of 2005 for merc sprinter vans,I think the latest is now euro 5,it's all about pollution and the european parliment bringing it down in stages, truck wise if you do not have a euro 4 engine it is £100 per day to go into the london area IE roughly 3 miles inside the m25 and then you have to pay! all vans over 1 tonne upto 3.5 tonnes will be the same in august 2010.also includes motor caravans. The fine for trucks not paying the fee if not euro 4 is "£5000" not funny eh! Mr livingstone thought that lot up Humm?:???::???:

Is this the usual standard of debate on this forum?

Back on topic, is the engine in the E280 CDI a euro 4 engine?

280 is V6 so on the evidence above then yes it is E4.
