european service and recovery

I'm taking my 500 sec to south france via switzerland, italy this summer and i want to purchase recovery cover and identify europe sources of bits and labour. Who does the association recommend?

I use Green Flag with the full blown European cover option - which covers cars up to 16 years old, which my old Merc. just about qualifies for. They use local agents depending on where you are which means faster response times.

No age limit. I'm sure they all use the local/national recovery agents in whichever country you find yourself. You could always call them up and see what their arrangements are. Make sure you take common-sense spares such as fan belts with you.

Thank you all for the views. I will pick one and if I get it right - will not use them! Spare pulley belts already in the boot. Learnt that in Montblanc tunnel few trips ago!
