Anyone in the London / Southeast area looking for the dog's proverbial's of car stereo installers talk to Prestige Audio in Rayners Lane. These guys fitted a nakamichi CD, replaced my MB front speakers with 4 1/2 "JBL's, JBL tweeters in the footwell's and 9 X 11 infinity's in the parcel shelf covered with accoustic carpet so you don't know the speakers are there  ( although I try to remember before I put a suitcase on them! ) the sound is superb.
These guys were voted best car audio installers in 2001 and given the quality of their work they deserve it. My office backs onto them and if the calibre of motors going in there is anything to go by ( of course MB's, Ferrari's, Porche, Astons, the Big B, the invidious bummers etc).

Mind you I think the best one was a kid with a siesta worth about 350 quid to a blind man putting 1600 quids worth of kit in it !! I hope they fitted him a good alarm

I suppose "Best" is always gonna be relative, m8 of mine is an audiophile n just noticed in a few of his audio mags these guys got their "best" last year.
The ttl cost was 850 ( nakamichi CD cost 400 ) so 450 for speakers, acoustic carpet n fitting, I have some pics now all I have to do is figure out how to put them on my compooter n then upload to the website

380sl Lefthooker - had no time so still slightly hazy bootlid
( spent the weekend running through Snowdonia and the Brecons, top down with 'Calling Elvis' reverberating thu the mountains! what a run - 5 1/2hours North Wales to the Mumbles but worth every minute)

Ive had experience of a firm called Pulse Car Audio, they used to be called Sextons till about a year ago, they have a couple of branches close to me, and they have always been excellent, even if its just advice and you arent going to buy anything.

I use BrayBrooks in Hertfordshire. They specialise in MB and are currently fitting a DVD player to my stock MB COMAND system. They were putting sun visor screens into an ML55 AMG whilst I was there!
