Excessive tyre wear on C250 TD

The rear tyres on my 1998 C250 TD are only lasting 5-6,000 miles. Does anyone know the likely causes or solutions to this problem?

How are they wearing. In the centre, at the edges, outsides, insides?

If it's even then you are too heavy with your right foot.
