Exhaust back pressure

Hi All got an EML light scanned fault code said :
P047164
Exhaust back pressure sensor 1 has a malfunction. There is an implausible signal.

I did a live stream of the sensor and it’s reading 1.25 bar, without the engine running. Surely that should be in 0 bar as there’s exhaust pressure present as the cars not running.

Anyone confirm that it’s suppose to be at zero without the engine running?

Unable to load images as it’s says the server can’t handle it as it’s too big

It's absolute, so would read atmospheric, ie ≈ 1.0 bar.
So 1.25 bar is still implausible.

Your forgetting atmospheric pressure of 1.03 bar at sea level.

You'd see a value of around 4 to 5 bar if the sensor was duff , with engine running .

i can confirm part number a0091535028 should see around 981 mbar at tick over

Run the engine with the sensor out and connected and see what live data says , it'll sound like a V8 but will also blow out alot of crap . Watch out for the silver washer.

Some have sprayed carbon remover inside the sensor hole , something like mr.muscle oven cleaner etc , before buying a new sensor . It's a sensor easily changed and accessed.
