2005 a150
I bought a 2005 a150 over the weekend and took it for a test drive and it was spot on,
The next day I took it up the motorway and back and did about 40 miles. That evening I realised a wet patch under the car and the whole underside of the car was covered in oil and the car was empty on the dipstick, I’ve taken the cover tray off the bottom of the car and checked to see where the leak is coming from, it’s not coming from the top of the engine or the filler plug as both these were clean.
I refilled the oil a couple of days ago and it’s already drained itself in that period of time but there’s no warnings on the system to show that somethings the matter with the car.
Though as you can see in the attached photo the oil is mainly around the bottom of the engine/ top of the oil pan but I’m worried could it be a blown crank seal as that’s also in the same area.

So I was wondering where else would it be likely leaking oil from?

I would be taking it back to the lovely person you got the car from. That problem doesnt just occur.
Did you not even check the oil level on collection.
Whatever it is, I would say this is not the first time its been run low and I wouldn't rule out permanent engine damage.
You need to start stripping to find the leak, if you cant see it, we cant see it, so its just a guessing game.

from the pic looks like you need to remove the shroud at the LHS, as the bulk of the oil appears to be from under there and is running down.

The only time I have known oil to leak so quickly is from the rear main seal. But, I am not experienced in having lots of oil leaks so there could be a lot of other causes.
There is a chance that if it is the RMS the leak would likely be strongest between gear box and engine - around the bell housing if that engine has one.

I assume the dipstick is still firmly slotted home.
