Facelift or not facelift

I have noticed a lot of talk about the facelift or pre facelift models!!

Now not wanting to sound to stupid, I have the 2001 w203 C220 CDI and haven't a clue if it's had a facelift or not. ( it does still look pretty good for it's age ;)).

What's the difference ??
