does anyone know what they are for a Feb 2001 S210?
I've just been down to the dealers to assess the rust (back door tops under the seals) and they have rejected the claim, saying the car's paint is too thick and that it has already been repaired somewhere. The little meter thing the man was using was showing depth of 140-190nm over the doors and the tailgate, occasionally peaking to 210nm. The roof showed 60nm-140nm. The service manager said the roof was probably original. He also said the factory finish came out from 60-120nm.
I'd like to see some standards from MB somwhere before I give up ( or not) and dig into my own wallet to fix the rust.
I only ask as there is no record anywhere of a respray in the full MBSH which came with the car. If it had been done before, I'd expect it to be under MB auspices and still their pigeon as it were. It should also show on their records as having been done by them, shouldn't it?
Any pointers gratefully received.
