I have a 1998 C class. It's Red and is in very good condition. When it is polished it stands out and lots of people have commented on how good it looks. The problem is the Bonnet it is starting to fade and loose its shine. Is there any product on the market I can use to restore it. Or will I have to have it resprayed.

Thanks.

Red and gold are the two weakest finnishes, though by rights they should be protected by the clear coat if used. Some polishes do give a short term solution, but in the long run it will have to be re sprayed. If when ÿou polish the rag is red, then it is a straight red coat,if the rag is not red, the the top coat has reacted to the bass coat.

I would think respraying would be the long term answer
