After reading many posts on this subject I am sure that this sensor is U/S on my 1998 SL 320. Can any one confirm if this is a DIY job to replace, I am mechanically minded and can tackle most things. I know that the unit is behind the dash but exactly where, is it on the drivers side, can I access it by just removing the trim panel under the steering wheel. Any advise & photos/diagrams would be most appreciated. Thanks. If not a DIY task has anyone had it replaced by a MB dealer/expert and if so how much did it cost?
