Failed heater blower & codes.

i live in las vegas, usa.

if anyone could help with information, it would be greatly appreciated.

i own a 1999 C230 Kompressor. the fan for the dash heater-air conditioner has just stopped working. i turn on the switch and nothing. the air conditioning works, but since the fan doesnt work, the cold air slowly seeps out.

about a month ago i changed the cabin air filter.

the check engine light has come on. i used my OBDII code reader and have two codes that read P0105 and P1519.

has anyone had any problems like this before?
can anyone elaborate on the codes and what they mean?

will i be testing the blower regulator? the blower itself? or both?

by the way, it gets pretty hot here in vegas. it is about 42 Celsius here in sin city today. i need to get this problem solved.

thank you for your responses. it helped massively!

after digging through my engine compartment and researching this dilema on multiple message boards, the 'check engine' codes(p0105 & p1519) were pertaining to 2 broken vacuum lines. $1.97 later, the vacuum lines have been replaced and i cleared the 'check engine' lights. so i hope they don't come back.

as for the blower/fan problem, i have narrowed the problem down to the fan regulator/resistor. i hooked up a voltage meter, flipped it on the fan(the one that doesn't work), and bingo! No voltage! Changing out the regulator is about a 20 minute job.

so, off i go to autohausaz.com to buy a Behr blower regulator/resistor for $117.00. much better than the $200+ the dealership wants. hopefully the new regulator will be the cure. i will report back in a few days.
