I need to purchase 4 new tyres and have been following with interest members views and recommendations.

I've currently got Michelin Pilot Premacy's on the rear and Pirelli P6000's on the front. I would like to go for Michelin's all round but money is an issue and due to the age and type of car (hardly sporty) I need something cheaper.

I've been trawling through the various tyre test pages and heard pretty good reviews of Falken Tyres so I am quite tempted. They seem to be in a similar bracket to P6000's but get a better reviews for handling and noise.

They are also very reasonable when purchased on line from a Specialist Falken dealer (see http://www.falkentyres.co.uk/index.asp) at only £42.42 including VAT for a 205/55 W16.

Has anyone had and experience of them?

I have Falken FK451's (245/40/18 ) on the rear of my E300TD Estate. They seem pretty good. Low noise and pretty sticky. Only had them for around 4 months so can't really comment on how they wear but I'm quite impressed. Good price point too.

Thanks Guys, I may give them a go.

Incidentally, the Falken site is cheaper than Black Circles when buying 4 and adding in delivery charges.

I don't need to worry about fitting as my wheels are going to be refurbished and they can be put on at the same time.

I had some Falkens on our E300TD. Didn't last long at all I'm afraid :(

I've got a full set of Falken tyres on my Range Rover and never had a problem with them (no they're not A/T's)
