Fan Belt 'Maps'

Is there anywhere I can find out the correct routing of the big fan belt thingy that is in the front of my 1995 E280 w124 Merc. I've always had trouble with squealing noise and no one seems to be able to fix it. I've also been through two idler pulleys and don't know why.

I was wondering if someone in the past has misrouted it

Also, is there a good independent garage near me in Lancs

The belt route is in the handbook. If the belt squeals then, most likely, one or other of the pulleys is on the p1ss

There is always a reason for belt squeal. Your options are: 1) don't find it, wait till it breaks, then fix it, and 2) find it and fix it

The idlers on the tensioner are where I'd look first

Look along the belt and check that all the pulleys are in alingnment especialy any idlers and the tensioner, the tensioner mounting to the front of the engine block can go soggy and miss align its pulley.
