Hi,
I've had a couple of instances recently when electrics seem to be going crazy:
1) Windows refusing to respond to switches (going down OK, but not up!). Things have now righted themselves.
2) Fan / Blower with a mind of it's own. This has happened twice: the fan comes on full (as if set on 5), and does not respond to the switch. Fan is blowing hot air as if temp setting is max, and does not respond to change to temp controls. EC button does nothing (light on it doesn't change when pushed), neither does switching off ignition, and restarting. On both occasions, things have sorted themselves - first after a few seconds (maybe 10), second after a few minutes (maybe 20).
The second time (2) happened I was in Leeds, and was starting a journey back to Scotland. Got bl**dy hot in there, I can tell you. After it sorted itself, I could hear electrical clicking - as if something was shorting - from the centre console. I stopped and had a good sniff, but didn't detect any tell-tale odours that may have indicated a short, and a potential fire. I spent the rest of the 4 hour journey refining my escape plan should the thing have caught fire!!!
Many thanks for any input!

PS - I'm visiting the stealer tomorrow for a service (first in nearly 2 years). I'll report the same fault to them, and update my post if they can offer any suggestions.
