    hi can any one tell me how to get to the fan regulator on a 02 e320 cdi w210.
    tried removing lower panel in passenger footwell .any help would be welcome.

    I think after removing the lower panel there is another panel with about 4 screws in it.....you have to remove that

    I have done the same thing recently the regulator ( Valeo) is barmy money from MB over £200.
    I got mine a Valeo the same for £30inc delivered and new from Germany.
    Once you have undone the cover lower the motor out and check the bearings and bushes whilst you are there all replaceable cheaply.

    You cannot change the bearings on these motors, the brushes yes

    It is not a resistor, its a regulator N29 on the paper I sent you

    Oh yes you can (In true Christmas Panto style) they (bushes) are crimped in but can be replaced.

    The old days were wonderful when you could just pop into your Lucas agent and buy them over the counter

    Or went to an auto electrician who kept bushes in a jam jar full of oil ?

    Yes even better though one should heat them up so that the oil is taken right in:D:D
