Car has just been serviced.

Mechanic noticed that the fan for the ventilation only works on first speed and max speed. Air-con model, w124 e300td. How can I check the switch or motor or any other likely causes?

Also, how do I get the little rotary temp dials out as the backlighting has gone on one?

83 in the link is the blower regulator, do check that it is not a dirty switch in the control unit

You can change the bulbs in the control unit
