This has been parked up around a mile from my home. It hasn't moved in years. I guess somebody admired it enough to buy it, but not enough to redeem it. IMG_1866.jpg IMG_1865.jpg IMG_1867.jpg

A “Traction Avant“, very nice indeed.

I'd love one of them!

I imagine the owner would part with it for a very small sum. He must feel guilty for neglecting it.

Get it bought its a design classic, a bucket of soapy water will transform.

Then for christmas an angle grinder, a set of gilbo's and a mig welder.

Take the engine out flip it over on loads of old mattresses and your away :):)

It's the 2 litre version.
Top speed 73mph and 0-60 in 29.7 seconds!

They did a 2.9 as well... 6 cylinders, top speed 81 and 9-60 in 21 seconds.
An SL500 beats both for fuel consumption - 25mpg and 18.6 respectively!!

It's a thing of beauty in a sorry state. I've half a mind to knock and ask if I can wash it. Someone should be cherishing that car.

otherwise its a low ball bid.

I think it's worth someone's time and energy. I can't put a financial value on it, I don't have the knowledge of the market. The number plate alone is worth £1500. I hope it stays on the car.

It has a Scottish number plate which on that age car typically denotes that the original plate has been sold. The DVLA will reissue an age relevant plate and because so few were registered in Scotchland originally there are many available for reissue.
What that means is that the plate cannot be sold off of the car (although it could be replaced with another age related one)

You can see there's some rust on the bottom of the doors. The bulk of the body looks good though. It would definitely need a good look underneath at the chassis and floor.
As a running car in solid order I'd say £5-7k as it stands.

Odd day to register a vehicle. On day later it would be a 1952!

That wouldn't have been the registration system in 1952 though would it ? :)

Hmmmm.....

On Car and Classic UK they seem to be anywhere between £14,000 and £18,000 for a good'un :)

I think If I were to get one (which if I'm brutally honest is unlikely as much as I would like one) it would have to be LHD.
I don't have anywhere to keep it in the UK so would need to leave it in France.
