fast losing faith in mercedes

after the problems with the trip meter and various other niggles (see previous postings) now the radio has switched itself off,and on being turned back on is showing code,obviously the dozy previous owner has not left the code in the merc pack,i've got it booked in for a diagnostic check on tuesday,will they be able to retrieve the code or do I have to spend a fortune trying to find someone who can get me the code,
went from jaguar to merc on bros in laws recommendation,he not my favourite person at the moment.
any help is welcome. :cry:

I just used my local garage when I needed the code on my last radio - I would have thought that you don't need to use a Stealer to get the code and it will be much cheaper using a local guy.

I would call around a couple of your local garages if they don't do it they will know someone who will.

Mine cost something like £8 plus VAT.

As for problems I think you will find all cars come with various problems

normally if u go to dealer in the car and c the normally helpfull guys in parts they can check on the system and doesnt normally cost anything, assumig its still the original MB unit good luck

If its the original MB unit, if you have the chassis number MB may do it over the phone. They did it for me last week.
