Fault code U140A00.

Hi, ABS light came on, a garage put his scanner on and said it was the front Right wheel sensor, so I replaced it with a new one from Mercedes, but the light came back on. The scanner came up with fault code U140A00, but he was not sure as to what it was, he said it could be the trigger wheel or something else. Can anyone on here tell me what it is likely to be. Car is C class 2.1 automatic Diesel Bluetec 64 plate. Thank you. Thank You.

Did you check the reluctor ring that it’s not rusted and the holes are all clear

It’s on the hub - it’s what the wheel speed sensor reads

Drive shaft must be removed and them ground off, cleaned up and new one pressed on.

Sometimes they are on the rear bearing seal, which means replacing the wheel bearing.
