Hello everyone!
Just came back from 2000 km trip with a "little" problem:
The bulb responsible for the light on dushboard for the outside temperature is gone...
Is it too complicated to replace it?
Any suggestions/instructions will be greatly apprecciated!!!

Regards, Gennady

Not very familiar with the W210 e. I presume this offending bulb is in the instrument panel.

Any MB i've had the pleasure of owning, this cluster is just push-fitted, so it just needs to be prised out.
Do this gently. If the SRS bulb gets disconected, you will have to go to MB to have the system reset. Better to disconect the battery, just to be careful.

Ps. After you re-connect the battery, the windows will need a re-set.

Press the 'up' button till the window is fully closed and hold pressed for over two seconds.
Repeat with other 3 windows.
I have other methods, but this is the simpelist, and is recomended by MB

I have the same problem in my 90 500SL. On my car the bulb is not a bulb as in plug in simply to replace but i am told it is an led which requires soldering in. Not impossible but a lot of work for what you get and also the possibility of screwing somethingelse up I decided to manage without it lit.

Gfern. Which bulb was that. One of the warning ones, or an illumination one. My petrol gauge illumination one is gone, or loose. Didn't take the instrument console out yet.

It is the one which illuminates the outside temp display. I think that all the others in the dash are the push in type. It is annoying not to have things working properly but sometimes too much work for one bulb and I am always nervous of removing the dash in case of creating more problems.

on my CLK320 the outside temp indication brightness is about half the intensity of the trip/milage indications.. very odd.. either the wrong bulb in there or a bad earth or something. God only knows how i would actually get to that bulb??

Yea. Suppose I'm a bit lazy also. But I will change it, cause it just bugs me.

EuroClk. I have not noticed the different intensities between Temp and trip illumination, but will have a look this evening.
