Was thinking 'great fuel economy' as when i reset mile counter on half a tank and after 200m it was just below the 1/4 line. I did become aware of a new ticking sound from engine, on top of the already noisy chain, about 5miles earlier before power loss and stall. Put 4 litres in from can and after bit of a choke and puff off smoke i was rolling again. Still think economy is super for big car but learned hard way about that sticky needle. Oh, and that extra ticking noise seems to have gone?
