Good day.
My 270 has displayed all the signs of a malfunctioning crankshaft position sensor; the car just stalls at roundabout 85 degrees C, and after being left hood-open for 30 minutes starts and runs again as if it never happened. My problem is that there is no info anywhere on where exactly it is located, or any steps on how to replace it.
I have a reasonable ability to do DIY maintenance on my cars. Is this a task that one can do yourself, or are special tools and arms that have 3 elbows in them and extremely small female hands needed?
Any advice will be highly appreciated, as one has to be quite inventive here in sunny South Africa.
Thank you in advance

4 hours no reply, so I'll have a shot.
I might be wrong but,
try feeling atop the bell housing, on the nearside.
When I replaced mine it was there, toward the front, maybe 6" from the engine.
It was covered by a metal box cover, held by one small bolt into the bell housing.
I manipulated the cover out of the way, to be bent back in place later.
Then a long reach socket to remove the sensor, may have been 17mm, but the new one would show you the size.
