Hi Guys
Just thought I would pop on and say hi.
I bought my first Mercedes about 4 months ago to cart the family around in on trips etc.
She's a 1999 ML430 which was snapped up for a low cost of £1k
Had a few issues when I picked her up, firstly a power steering line was corroded, had trouble finding one from any motor factors and Mercedes wanted a lot of money. Anyhow fixed it within an hour for less than a £1. Cut out the damaged area and welded a oversized tube over, basically joined 2 half's.
It's been great since, although is off the road at present in my workshop getting a few nice bits added:-
Full Sequential LPG system
2003 Black leather seats and door cards
Calipers stripped down and overhauled
Dashboard flocked or improved (can't stand the nasty grey plastic)
As well as the above just some routine maintenance.
