Hello all, I have a Mercedes C350 W204 2013 and when searching for various parts I am never quite sure if the part is the correct one or not ? I am wondering when looking for parts for my car what is the best correct way about find the correct parts ? would it be better to find the correct car part number first, what is the best and easiest way to search and call up the correct car parts for my vehicle ?
Thanks for any help

Also search the tinternet and eBay with the part number that’s written on the part you are thinking of replacing

Another vote for Mercedes-Benz of Grangemouth because their parts dept provide excellent customer service. :)

Hello and thanks but I was looking for information whereby I do not need to reply on one specific dealer and could shop around but still know the part I purchase is the correct one, obviously also I can go direct to the main Mercedes dealer, I simply need to know how / where do I find out what the correct parts are for my specific model of Mercedes ?
Thanks

Most on here (including myself) only fit genuine MB or OEM parts. The best advice I can give is find out which suppliers provide parts direct to Mercedes (classed as OEM) which you might be able to source cheaper than going to the MB dealer. MB Grangemouth mail order parts get good ratings on here and offer a forum discount

My feelings are fit pattern parts at your peril

Nemiga. Google it. It has the full electronic parts catalogue for all MBs.

but ... just because a company might make OEM parts for car manufacture doesn't mean their after market part are made to the same spec.
My often quoted mantra is ... Heinz make HP beans, but they're not the same as Heinz Beanz ;)

Having said that, if it's a part that takes an age to fit, I'll tend to buy & fit OEM ... buy cheap, fit twice. Ask LostKiwi about Roadster thermostats ;);)

Another option is breaking parts. All parts prestige are good if your wanting original but used parts.

That all the way.
Plus you have easier redress if part failure - MB warranty 2 years and the parts fit.
