Hello,
I have a low mileage 1999 W202 C200 (M111 engine) that I don't drive in winter.
Normally, after over three months of Winter, I turn the engine over with the spark plug cables disconnected in order to circulate oil for the bearings before reconnecting the cables for the first start.
The reason I go to this length, which involves removing a few components to get to the spark plugs, is that I cannot determine if there is a single fuse or more easily accessible connector that can be opened that uniquely feeds power to the ignition system.
Might anyone know of a simpler method of disabling the ignition, but not the starter motor?
Thank you,
Michael
