Fitting dashcam to W212

After some advice on fitting a dashcam to my 2015 W212 estate. Has anybody got experience with doing this and can let me know the best position for it? Also, I am thinking of taking the power from the Panoramic sunroof controls as it would reduce the distance for cable running, is this a good idea?

There was a similar thread about cameras just days ago. This will be a bit like how do you like your tea/coffe as we all have our own preferences.

Personally I would not hard wire as I have found the standard supplied cables to be utter rubbish. I would just run a premium power cable into a multi USB port ciggy lighter adapter.

Best place, imo, is along the top just right of the rear view mirror/cluster. I would also strongly advise on a dual channel camera unit.

Had a blackvue dashcam fitted, the fitter connected wiring into one of the fuses at the side of the drivers side dashboard, not sure if the W212 also has fuse locations there.
