From the details you have provided, your car is a W202 shape.
Open the bonnet and look behind the indicator, there is a lever shaped extension on the back of the indicator push this inwards whilst pushing out the indicator from behind.
Turn and twist to release the bulb holder.
Make sure the indicator goes back in with a positive click after you have changed the bulb, may require some force to achieve this.
