Flat Battery Boot Locked

Hi all, Had a look at the threads re totally flat battery and not able to open the boot due to key snapped in lock.
And want to find the terminals under the bonnet of a C240 (R Reg) please help.

Under bonnet, earth will be anyting earthish, +ve terminal is near the windscreen usually under a box measuring roughly 2" x 1" with a red + on the top.

Usually, open bonnet.
Look at right hand wing.
Brass post for negative/earth.
Small black box nearby with + symbol on it. This houses the positive terminal.

I have looked hard for the + and the only black box has 2 wires (black) going into it with a spare terminal, will this be it?
Concerned as to do indication of polarity.

all well now took a risk on the terminals as described and got the boot opened, with the fob and charged the battery.
