I accidentally left the lights on on a 2001 V220 last night when I came to start it the battery was completely flat. The there was a ticking noise coming from the instrument panel. Managed to start the car with a battery charger but now the instrument panel is goosed. Practically nothing works, no speedo, rev counter fuel gauge or any warning lights. The only things to display are the main beam light, indicator and ABS. Does this mean I have to have a complete new set of clocks????:(

Check the fuses first.

The V-class is poor electrically and is sensitive to voltage spikes like charging and starting.

Thanks for your reply. Checked all fuses - they're ok. Is there anything else I can check?
