Hi Guys,

Can anyone help with the following please.

Due to being abroad on business for the last ten weeks, my CLK320 W208 has not been used. On going to start it today the battery is totally flat, i.e. there is absolutely no charge at all, not even enough to power the interior lights or turn the ignition on.

The problem that I have is the battery is in the boot; I cannot access it, as the release inside the car is powered and the key to boot won’t unlock it.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Do you have an emergency metal key inside the key fob?

If you need to get a new battery go for a good make like Bosch. They cost a bit more but work better and last longer imo.

Thanks Chas/Tromppost.

Emergency key doesn't work. Have looked at the link you posted (Chas) and will try connecting another battery to terminal in engine bay.

Thanks very much for the advice.
